Jennifer aka "Jenny", a Chicago native, made her stage debut as a lead character in a small local production "Crazy Love". She was later cast as the lead role in "Sinful Nature of A Man" starring beside gospel greats Vicki Winans and Phil Tarver. She later won the role of "Nettie" with a nationally touring, Broadway production of "The Color Purple". While on tour, she was cast as “Deena” in “Dreamgirls”, receiving a nomination for best supporting actress by the Black Theatre Alliance Awards (BTAA). As lead in the Broadway-bound musical "Chicago's Bronzeville" she performed to a sold-out audience at the "Chicago Theater". Jennifer starred in the Ike Turner Story as Tina Turner where she was awarded the Lena Horne Award for Best Leading Actress by the BTAA. She is honored and excited to play Mary Wells in John Ruffin’s & Theater 47’s original musical “If You Think You’re Lonely Now.” As an accomplished and talented vocalist, actress, dancer, writer, aspiring composer and model, Jennifer aspires to share her passion for the arts with the world.
