Daniel had not performed on the stage for over thirty years when he was asked to perform in Victoria Brady’s Pieces of a Shattered Dream, a play about the civil rights movement. He then assisted with other productions including his appearance in To Be Young Gifted and Black. He also worked with the Harlem Theatre Company of Chicago, Faye’s Keylight Theater Company, and Gerald Hall. He portrayed Otto Preminger in Gevell Wagner’s Dandridge—Urban Broadway Play and was most recently seen in the Theater 47 productions of Lady Sings the Blues, Living All Alone, and Turn Off the Lights.
