Marceia is a professional dancer, choreographer, and collaborator with a rich background in performance and education. A former touring company member of Red Clay Dance Company, she currently serves as a teaching artist with South Chicago Dance Theatre. In 2019, she was awarded the Chicago Dancemaker’s Forum (CDF) Greenhouse Award in support of the development of a new choreographic work. Her choreographic works have been featured both nationally and internationally, including at Holding Common Ground: Pathways to Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (2021, Virtual), RAD Fest in Kalamazoo, MI, and Links Hall in Chicago, among others. After a three-year hiatus, she is thrilled to be back on stage and absolutely honored to work with Theater 47.
